Gigaware Usb To Ethernet Driver
I bought an adapter to connect my MacBook Air (run with OSX) to an Eternet Cable via an USB port. This adapter is from the brand Gigaware (model 2503584).

Xubuntu 12.04.
XFCE 4.10.
The other day I had a major lightning strike happen.
It killed a coax line, a hub, and two onboard NICs.
For some reason, it's now rare to find a PCI ethernet card on shelf anywhere.
I did manage to find a GigaWare USB to Ethernet Adapter at my local RadioShack.
It works fine in Windows XP and 7.
It shows up as a non-writable CD-Drive device with install directories for PC and Mac.
NDISGTK shows that it's there, but nothing offers to let me actually use it.
The installer makes mention of Shenzhen Corechips Electronics Co, LTD.
lsusb outputs this:
The Belkin is the adapter I'm using now to get online.
Brother is the printer, there's the keyboard, mouse, Microsoft is the webcam.
I'm guessing the Kontron is the odd ball out.
Is this just a case of no driver base?
Thanks.
